We don't really see any problem with either of these types of OCs. You're right that they got overlooked. So long as we're not dealing with Sherlock's smarter, more handsome, less cocaine-addled twin or something (since he already has a brother), you should be fine. And there are a lot of mythological stories and legends you can pull apart, so we won't be bummers about it.
